By introducing the Poisson equation of magnetic vector potential, and solving the equation with Seidel iteration, the article gives a method of computer simulation on magnetic field distribution of limited current-carrying solenoids. In order to meet the rigorous requirement to the demonstration time in classroom instruction, the method of nine-point interpolation is adopted to improve the computational efficiency, and the Seidel iteration times is analyzed to improve the simulation efficiency further.
