Developing Ubiquitous Space Information Model for Indoor GIS Service in Ubicomp Environment
September 02-September 04
ISBN: 978-0-7695-3322-3
Indoor environment has been becoming more complicated due to Ubicomp technology, so far there is no solution to integrate U-service related components into spatial data model of indoor environment. Thus, it is indispensable to construct a new framework in which the outcome building information model can be extensively shared among Indoor GIS applications and services. The research goal is to establish a new building information model so called Ubiquitous Space Information Model (USIM) which can describe all aspects of ubiquitous space. At the end, a prototype system namely 'Gong Composer' and an ActiveX control so called 'InSpace' have been being developed to demonstrate how to implement the proposed model which can be applied to various Indoor GIS applications.
