Time delay estimation, which aims at measuring the relative time difference of arrival (TDOA) between different channels is fundamental approach for identifying, localization and tracking radiating sources. So it is the main approach for source localization while the main obstacle for designing robust microphone-based source localization systems is the effects of room reverberation. This paper presented a novel approach based on one microphone inverse filtering to estimate the TDOA. The simulation results showed that, this method are robust in a highly reverberant room and could estimate the TDOA precisely in adverse condition.
