A Distributed Environment Approach for the GPS Radio Occultation Analysis
Valencia, Spain
April 20-April 25
ISBN: 978-0-7695-3586-9
In this paper we describe this new scenario for the Radio Occultation data processing, which is based to the use of distributed system architecture. In particular, we describe our approach based on using a Grid computing system in order to decrease the calculation of RO time and to increase the flexibility and reliability of the system. We want to focus the attention of the reader on how we managed the parallelization of the entire jobs chain for the complete processing of Radio Occultation. We executed some statistical tests in order to evaluate the gain in performances and time obtained using the distributed architecture instead of a more standard non distributed architecture.
