The continual development of human society and scientific technologies results in the increasing complexity of the real world. Nowadays, the development of complex system has been challenged the conventional ways of pattern recognition. This paper has discussed new methods of pattern recognition based on All Set Theory and Set Pair Analysis (SPA) in order to response to the situation that complex system is calling for new methods of pattern recognition. Also, in the paper, three principles for judgments in pattern recognition are put forward, and some applied examples are taken to prove the validity and effectiveness of the new methods presented in the paper.
