Regarding the inconstant requirements of e-business, in this paper, we propose to use distributed intelligent middleware based on Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) to implement integrating workflows of existing systems for a more efficient and flexible integrated e-business platform. The formal rules of workflow integration processes for existing systems have been put forward by applying various theory and technology synthetically, including log mining, the front-end integration, ontology modeling and multi-agent system etc. Finally, a multi-agent system named as Multi-agent System for Workflow Management (MAS4WFM) is implemented for cross-system workflow integration.
