Decoupling Coordinated Control System Based on PID Neural Network for Marine Steam Power Plant

This paper presents decoupling coordinated control method based on PID neural network for marine steam power plant—boiler and steam turbine mainly. The boiler and steam turbine are complex nonlinear system with coupling, time-delayed, large inertial and uncertain characteristic. They are frequently in the working status of changing their working point, so conventional PID controller does not obtain satisfactory control performance. The decoupling coordinated control strategy was developed based on PID neural network to control the operation changing of marine steam power plant. Simulation results with field data from the system indicate that the decoupling coordinated control strategy more quickly tracks and more effectively controls changing of the rotate speed and inlet pressure of steam turbine with low overshoot and good accuracy in real-time control.
