As the stability and dynamic performances of a control system majorly depends on how its closed-loop poles are assigned on the radical plane, the closed-loop poles of a system can be assigned at somewhere as expected in terms of the system performances when the system is designed, in order to achieve its targeted dynamic performances. By means of the system of Rotational Inverted Pendulum, this article exemplifies the effects of which the location of closed-loop poles can exert onto the performances of a control system. Suitable closed-loop poles are selected in experiments and then well assigned to achieve a stable control on the system of Rotational Inverted Pendulum, which is simulated by means of MATLAB.
