The attribute core of inconsistent decision table plays an important role in rough set theory (RST). However, the existing methods are difficult to distinguish between the consistent core and inconsistent core attributes. In this paper, we present a novel calculation for core attributes of inconsistent decision table by proposing two improved discernibility matrices which correctly obtain core attributes from consistent and inconsistent information, respectively. Theoretical and empirical result analyses show that the proposed approach is advantage and effective.
