Rapid changes in the internet technology present businesses with challenges and opportunities. Businesses of various sizes are seeking to adopt eBusiness technologies to remain competitive in this digital economy. However, the lack of a suitable framework may seriously impede eBusiness proliferation, and as a result, businesses may not be able to achieve the benefits of the available technologies. To address this gap, we propose a holistic framework for eBusiness to assist organizations with their initiatives. In particular, our study focuses on Thai SMEs. The need to embrace eBusiness initiatives by Thai SMEs is motivated by the intent to remain competitive. In this paper, we propose a framework with five factors: Confidence and Trust, Technical Support, HR support, Standard of operations and Financial motivation. These factors were derived from an extensive review on existing literature from western models, critical/success factors and dotcom failures.
