The Internet's crucial role in modern life, commerce, and government underscores the need to study the security of the protocols and infrastructure that comprise it. For years, we've focused on endpoint security and ignored infrastructure weaknesses. Recent discoveries and initiatives highlight a simple fact: the core is just as vulnerable as the edge. This special issue brings together Internet infrastructure security articles that focus on IPv6, multinational policy, and wireless protocols.
