Gary McGraw interviews Paul Kocher, president and chief scientist of Cryptography Research. Among his many accomplishments, he helped design SSL 3.0, Electronic Frontier Foundation's DES cracker (nicknamed "Deep Crack"), and parts of the content security system found on Blu-ray discs. He continues to design crypto protocols and applications, which are then successfully deployed in real-world systems.
