pp: 108-110
ABSTRACT
Informal and deliberately unstructured gatherings of local developers are becoming increasingly popular. Going by such names as BarCamp, DemoCamp, unconferences, Web2Open, and open-space meetings, these events are mashups of teach-ins and jam sessions. The common theme is disdain for the traditional conference where experts deliver canned presentations followed by polite questions from the audience.
