One approach to software reuse is to generate an application from a domain specific specification. The specification describes the application's problem or task, and it might take diverse forms, such as an interactive dialogue or a formal language. DECAdmire, an application generator provided by Digital Equipment, is an interactive application development tool that provides code generation for interactive management information-systems that involve relational database updates. DECAdmire provides 80 to 95 percent code reuse.
