Single-Chip H.324 Videoconferencing

The TMS320C82 is a powerful DSP optimized for multimedia processing in the cost-sensitive consumer and PC markets. This article provides an overview of the C82 architecture and briefly describes a C82 implementation of the ITU H.324 standard for videoconferencing over analog phone lines. The C82 provides system vendors the integration required by cost-sensitive markets while retaining the flexibility to add proprietary enhancements and adapt quickly to new standards.
