Expediting the establishment and recognition of a disciplined profession of Enterprise Architecture requires the development of the elements of any generally recognized profession. In recent years, considerable study has been given rise to an inventory of those elements. Based on this research, the IEEE Computer Society developed a model of the elements of technical professions. In the past, formal professions have gradually evolved over time, arriving at maturity over many years (decades and longer in some cases). Our challenge has been to instantiate the Computer Society model to accelerate the maturation of the emerging profession of Enterprise Architecture. This is the Roadmap Journey.
