Cloud Computing: Will Commodity Services Benefit Users Long Term?
November/December 2009 (vol. 11 no. 6)
pp. 57-59
John Veiga, Noblis
The attention the IT community has given cloud computing recently rivals that given to American Idol judges by the public. This magazine alone dedicated its March/April 2009 issue and significant other space throughout the year to the topic. The introduction to IT Professional's March/April issue asked whether cloud computing offers anything different; after a review of both the basics and the challenges, the authors respond to that question.
