IE Security Flaws Spike Interest in Alternative Browsers

By mid-September, IE was clearly under siege on various fronts because of security flaws. On 8 September, USA Today suggested users switch to Firefox 1.0; on 16 September, the Wall Street Journal's technology columnist, Walter Mossberg, also wrote that users should stop using IE and start using Firefox.
