The OGSA represents a natural evolution in Web services. By integrating support for transient, stateful service instances with existing Web services technologies, it significantly extends the power of the Web services framework, while requiring only minor extensions to existing technologies. In the near future, an OGSA approach could fully integrate Grid and Web technologies.
