ABSTRACT

The 2002 International World Wide Web Conference brought attendees from 36 countries together in Hawaii in May to discuss the W3C?s continued goal of "bringing the Web to its full potential." Current work is directed at cleaning up existing recommendations (technical specifications), ensuring that new specs interoperate cleanly with the old, standardizing and building out Web services, and addressing vital security issues that are increasing with the development of new tools for the Semantic Web.
