Surveillance-Oriented Event Detection in Video Streams
May/June 2011 (vol. 26 no. 3)
pp. 32-41
Claudio Piciarelli, University of Udine, Italy
Gian Luca Foresti, University of Udine, Italy

Using the two main approaches to security-oriented event analysis, explicit event recognition and anomaly detection, the authors attempt to semantically interpret video sequences to detect anomalous, dangerous, or forbidden situations.
