The first news story, "Toward More Intelligent Healthcare," looks at AI-based tools to help doctors make better diagnoses, gather enhanced information from medical tests, improve their surgery and examination skills, and more quickly make relevant biomedical discoveries. The second news story, "Life Annotation: Storing and Searching Our Personalized Digital Memories," reports on attempts to store and retrieve the memories of people's lives embedded in photos, emails, calendars, documents, videos, and so on.
