A Case Study in Embedded-System Design: The VuMan 2 Wearable Computer
July/September 1993 (vol. 10 no. 3)
pp. 56-67

The development of an embedded-computer system with a visual interface is described. The authors detail the use of a target system simulator and a prototype printed circuit board (PCB), which facilitated a concurrent approach to the design of the hardware, software, and housing. They outline this codesign process and illustrate its effects with comparative data from the earlier VuMan 1 project.
