Actuator and sensor networks (AS-Nets) are formed by devices that communicate over wireless connections. The authors present a model-driven approach to the development and adaptation of AS-Net applications that aims to relieve developers from worrying about heterogeneity, distribution, faults, and self-organization by encapsulating the required expert knowledge in the model transformation.
