Many believe that multi-view video is poised to change how people watch television and that it could become a driving force in interactive multimedia entertainment, for both desktop and mobile environments. Owing to the massive amount of data involved and extensive processing requirements, real-time MVV processing presents research issues that lie at the frontier of video coding, image processing, computer vision, and display technologies.
