This article focuses on the NSDL's Communities for Physics and Astronomy Digital Resources in Education (ComPADRE) Pathway project for physics and astronomy education and outlines the effort's goals and structure. It presents a proposal to better support the incorporation of computational methods in the undergraduate physics and astronomy curriculum.
