pp: 5-8
ABSTRACT

Rare indeed is the passion that remains as ardent in the embers of memory as it did in the flames of its first days. Rarer still is such a passion engendered not by a sweetheart, but by a beloved toy or tool reminiscent of a time gone by. Yet such passions are not impossible. "Rosebud," the dying word uttered by Orson Welles' Citizen Kane, was not the name of a wife or mistress, but rather that of his boyhood sled.
