The Internet is emerging as the platformfor automating both theprovider and consumer ends of e-businesstrnsactions. Businesses offerWeb services--software components thatuse standard Internet technologies tointeract dynamically with one another--to build bridges between systems.The authors propose a Process CoordinationFramework that provides the building blocks required for Web services enabled e-business automation.PCF helps in understanding the roles ofthe various proposed standards withrespect to these building blocks.
