Taken together, there is a certain "odd couple" relationship that exists between these two texts. O'Donovan's book strongly promotes the GPSS modeling language originally developed by our second author, Geoffrey Gordon. But Gordon's book, while it does discuss his own language, appears to be advancing the merits of a competitive language.
