The Control Data 480 series microprogrammable computer family, designed to emulate a wide range of general-purpose computers, consists of a number of standard modules that are pluggable in a variety of configurations for emulating small, medium, or large computer systems. This building block approach permits the configuration of a specific computer system which is microprogrammed to emulate a specific computer architecture.
