Peripheral Considerations for PC-CAD Users

This article discusses some of the factors that can affect the choice of graphics peripherals for the majority of PC-CAD users, along with some of the barriers and technology enablers that will affect such choices in the future. It includes an in-depth discussion of pen plotter devices and a look at the technologies that will compete with pen plotters in the near future, including thermal, ink jet, and electrostatic. Input devices are also covered, with emphasis on digitizers.
